Based out of the rural mountain town of Pinedale, Wyoming and second place winner of the 2019 Wyoming State Flatpick Guitar Competition. Reckless Rooster is a full-time, Western States touring, one-man-band. Rooster’s full band performs under the moniker, Reckless Rooster & The Ranch.
A dedicated live performer, Rooster regularly juggles flat-picked archtop guitar, squareneck dobro, fiddle, vocals, harmonicas, and foot percussion for three non-stop hours.
Inspired by the likes of Doc Watson, Social Distortion, Fleetwood Mac, Neil Young and The Rolling Stones; Rooster’s music is self-described as “Mountain Country.” A rockin’ Americana blend of Alt-Country, Bluegrass, Folk and Old Time music.
Rooster performs colorful, original compositions about whiskey, traveling, life in poverty, cowboying, packing mules, love (both lost and found) and good old country living.
Every song is based on authentic experiences as a working cowboy and traveling troubadour.

Rooster is a composer, for-hire studio/touring multi-instrumentalist, independent recording artist and pro audio engineer with twenty-three years of experience in music-making including; Private lessons, public school programs, university programs, independent study and live performance. Rooster also performs as a member of bands Tom Bennett & The Living Proof and Matthew & The Hope
In 2018 alone. Rooster toured the Western U.S. for thirty-five-thousand miles performing over 100 live shows in ten states. Since the beginning of 2019, Rooster is at twenty-nine-thousand miles for the year and counting.
